When in use in wet condition area ie construction, water catchment zone, quayside etc. an option of GFCI cable is prefered. The GFCI constantly monitors flowing current comparing passing in and return through the circuit, whenever it detect flowing current differ by approximately 6 mA, it disengage the input supply instantly (faster than a blink of an eye) effectively prevent a lethal dose of electricity. When applied properly the GFCIs are designed to operate to shut off the electricity before it affect your heartbeat thus avoiding fatal shock.
